Our board has a typical 18x18inch layout, with the tiles on the borders. Every second tile is green or yellow. The tiles correspond with the green and yellow decks of cards, which are faced down and selected at random. If you roll the dice and land on a green square then you must pick up a green card and if you land on a yellow square then you must pick up a yellow card. There is also a lightning and a blue bridge deck of cards. The lightning round questions are all fun based in order to ease players into the game. The blue are multiple choice questions with statistics and facts regarding your mental well being used for crossing the bridges (taking short cuts!) 

The green cards have mental health and well-being questions and are reflective whereas the yellow cards have mental health and well-being scenarios. Both questions and scenarios are of a high standard. If the player answers the card then they can roll the dice and move forward. However if they do not answer the card then they must remain where they are and cannot roll the dice.

The aim of the game is to answer the questions/scenarios and complete a full rotation of the board.

The Sláinte na nÓg boardgame is approved and filtered by the HSE and Soar Foundation meaning it meets the standard required for this topic and is SAFE for the public.
